Hi! Congratulations on your Boatopia rental! I am sure you are eager to head out on the water, but there are a few items we need to go through first before we launch the boat.
With Boatopia, all your paperwork can be completed online ahead of your rental time instead of at the start of your rental. This way when you arrive for your rental, you can head straight to the water with minimal delays.
To fill out your paperwork and watch your orientation videos and safety briefings, simply head to boatopia.com and log in using the account information you provided during the booking process.
Next you will be taken to your renter portal where you will find your bookings. Click on the booking you would like to fill out your paperwork for.
Scroll and click on the Documents tab next to the Messages tab. Click on the documents tab and you will see all of the documents/videos that our rental partner requires you to complete prior to the rental.
You will see that some of the documents have a “Link to Video”. This means that the renting dealer requires you to watch certain videos prior to completing the associated paperwork. Remember that these videos are just to try and save you time and get you on the water faster to enjoy your rental. If you have additional questions, your rental coordinator can certainly help you in the messages tab or during the pickup/delivery process.
When there is a video portion, click the link and ensure to watch all the videos provided. Once you are done watching the videos, you can click download original on the associated document. You can either print the document and fill it out, then take a photo or scan and reupload it, or you can fill it out with your computer’s system viewer.
In this example we are using a Mac IOS product and opening the document with our system viewer, adobe. Once it is opened in adobe, click on Fill and Sign, and click on the text option and click where you would like to add text and start typing. You can also add a digital signature using the signature feature. Once you have completed all the required sections, save your document, and head back to your boatopia renter portal, and add your files in the upload section.
